Other villages

The nucleus of L'Arborcet is situated in the east side of the village, next to a shoulder of the road of Vilanova d'Escornalbou. It was a municipality until half of the 19th.century.

The small village is composed by two streets, the "Baix" and "Dalt" Streets. They are parallel, and end in the Square of the Village.

The Parish Church was built in honour to San Juan Bautista. It was built after the first quarter of the 17th.century. At one side, there is a graveyard, and at the other side, there is the Abbey. In 1936, everything valuable inside the church was burnt in a bonfire, except one chalice.

In the middle of the Baix Street, there is an ancient round watchtower, which has some loopholes. The tower, as it could be expected because the tradition, was a part of the "Casal" which was the origin of the nucleus. At the south part of the Street, but not next to the houses, there is another tower (this one is squared) which was probably built after the other one. Both towers make L'Arbocet look like a big castle form outside.
